InternSHIPS to foster professional development

 During Summer 2026, GMUEC hosted an internship focused on marketing and business development within the engineering industry. 


The program emphasized the creation of professional marketing materials, including a capabilities statement, website content, and outreach strategies. As an engineering student, our intern gained valuable insight into company operations and the behind‑the‑scenes processes that drive branding, client engagement, and technical marketing. This experience reflects GMUEC’s dedication to mentoring emerging professionals and providing exposure to both the technical and business aspects of utility engineering.

ASCE - Utility Engineering & Surveying Institute Houston Chapter

 Gabbie serves as Chair for the ASCE Utility Engineering & Surveying Institute Houston Chapter, organizing impactful technical events that advance industry knowledge and collaboration among professionals in the Houston area. 

Leadership North Houston

 Through Leadership North Houston, Class 31, Gabbie contributes to regional professional development initiatives, helping connect emerging leaders with opportunities to strengthen community and infrastructure partnerships.

Community Development Institute of Texas

As part of the Community Development Institute of Texas, Gabbie is on track to become a Professional Community & Economic Developer. This program prepares community leaders to become equipped with the tools necessary to positively impact their communities social and economic development.
